Sensex up 105pts; ITC gains 2.5%

The Sensex is now up 105 points at 11,724.

ITC has surged 2.5% to Rs 185. BHEL and NTPC have moved up 2% each to Rs 2,292 and Rs 127, respectively.

Maruti and ONGC have gained around 1.6% each at Rs 847 and Rs 1,214, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Reliance Communications, Cipla and Infosys have advanced over 1% each to Rs 595, Rs 303, Rs 246 and Rs 1,788, respectively.

Grasim and HLL are the only notable losers among the index stocks.

Out of 2,374 stocks traded so far, 1,461 have advanced, 831 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
