Sensex up 105pts; Tata Steel soars 4%

The Sensex is now up 105 points at 18,618.

Tata Steel has soared over 4% to Rs 954. Hindalco has surged 3.5% to Rs 196, and Reliance Energy has rallied 3.3% to Rs 1,708.

BHEL, Relinace and SBI have moved up 1.8% each to Rs  2,315, Rs 2,656 and Rs 1,941, respectively.

ICICI Bank has advanced 1.6% to Rs 1,115, and Bharti Airtel has added 1.3% to Rs 999.

ACC and Tata Motors were up 1% each at Rs 1,090 and Rs 782, respectively.

Cipla has plunged 3.4% to Rs 190. ONGC and Dr.Reddy's have slipped over 2% each to Rs 1,083 and Rs 617, respectively.

HDFC Bank has declined 1.3% to Rs 1,487. Wipro, ITC and HDFC are down around 1% each at Rs 481, Rs 183 and Rs 2,519, respectively.

Out of 2,446 stocks traded so far, 1,599 have advanced, 775 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
