Sensex up 106pts; REL sheds 6%

The Sensex is now up 106 points at 15,101.

The NSE Nifty has slipped into red and is down 10 points at 4,564.

HDFC has zoomed over 5% to Rs 2,330. Wipro has soared 4.6% to Rs 394, and ICICI Bank has surged 3.6% to Rs 794.

Hindustan Unilever has rallied 3.3% to Rs 233. HDFC Bank and Bharti Airtel have gained 2.5% each at Rs 1,302 and Rs 796, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Ambuja Cements have advanced over 2% each to Rs 673 and Rs 124, respectively.

TCS has moved up nearly 2% to Rs 825. ACC, ITC and Maruti are up around 1.7% each at Rs 789, Rs 190 and Rs 836, respectively.

Reliance Energy (REL) has tumbled nearly 6% to Rs 1,135. Tata Steel has plunged 5% to Rs 605.

Jaiprakash Associates has shed 3.5% at Rs 197. BHEL and DLF are down 2% each at Rs 1,806 and Rs 610, respectively.
