Sensex up 107pts; Ambuja Cem, HUL leads

The Sensex is now up 107 points at 14,975.

Ambuja Cements has soared 3.5% to Rs 131. Hindustan Unilever has surged 3% to Rs 202.

Tata Motors and HDFC have rallied over 2% each to Rs 683 and Rs 1,988, respectively. NTPC has moved up 1.7% to Rs 168.

ACC, BHEL, Maruti and Tata Steel have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 1,016, Rs 1,720, Rs 822 and Rs 645, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Cipla, Dr.Reddy's and Grasim are the other prominent gainers.

Out of 2,515 stocks traded so far, 1,762 have advanced, 688 have declined and 65 are unchanged.
