Sensex up 107pts; market breadth remains extremely -ve

The Sensex had slipped into the negative zone for brief while but has now bounced back into the green.

The index is now up 107 points at 10,178.

Maruti has rallied 4.5% to Rs 712. HDFC has added 3.3% to Rs 1,150.

ONGC and Tata Motors have surged over 2% each to Rs 1,102 and Rs 757, respectively.

Reliance Energy has dropped 3.5% to Rs 452, and Tata Power is down 2.3% at Rs 473.

Cipla and Dr.Reddy's have slipped 2.7% each to Rs 213 and Rs 1,289, respectively.

The market breadth continues to remain extremely negative - out of 2,260 stocks traded, 1,996 have declined, 234 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
