Sensex up 107pts; Maruti, Tata Motors slip 3%

The Sensex is now up 107 points at 15,839.

Reliance Energy has zoomed 6% to Rs 758. BHEL has soared over 4.3% to Rs 1,841.

NTPC and Satyam have surged around 3.5% each to Rs 164 and Rs 509, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Larsen & Toubro have rallied 2% each to Rs 1,246 and Rs 2,666, respectively.

Hindalco has gained 1.5% at Rs 188, and Infosys is up over 1% at Rs 1,967.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors have plunged nearly 3% each to Rs 800 and Rs 749, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has shed 2.3% to Rs 199. TCS and ACC have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 1,173 and Rs 1,122, respectively.

Cipla has slipped 1.3% to Rs 189. Ranbaxy and Maruti are down 1% each at Rs 347 and Rs 825, respectively.

Out of 2,701 stocks traded so far, 1,734 have declined, 913 have advanced and 54 are unchanged.
