Sensex up 107pts; Reliance gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 107 points at 14,163.

Tata Steel and HDFC Bank have rallied nearly 3% each to Rs 480 and Rs 1,093, respectively. Gujarat Ambuja has flared up 2.5% to Rs 144.

Reliance has surged 2% to Rs 1,367. Reliance Energy and Ranbaxy have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 534 and Rs 428, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and ACC have advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 1,490 and Rs 1,085, respectively.

Hindalco and Cipla are up over 1% each to Rs 173 and Rs 258, respectively.

BHEL has shed 2% to Rs 2,210. Hero Honda and Maruti are down 1% each to Rs 735 and Rs 911, respectively.

Out of 2,673 stocks traded so far, 1,848 have advanced, 783 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
