Sensex up 107pts; TCS, HDFC, Bharti gain 2%

The Sensex is now up 107 points at 12,992.

BHEL, HDFC, TCS, Bharti Airtel and Larsen & Toubro have rallied around 2% each to Rs 2,140, Rs 1,598, Rs 1,236, Rs 765 and Rs 1,510, respectively.

Wipro and Hindalco have surged 1.8% each to Rs 575 and Rs 130, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, ACC and ONGC have advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 2,530, Rs 793 and Rs 793, respectively.

Reliance Communications has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 415. ITC and Gujarat Ambuja are down over 1% each to Rs 152 and Rs 109, respectively.

 
The market breadth is positive - out of 2,091 stocks traded so far, 1,373 have advanced, 654 have declined and 64 are unchanged.
