Hindalco is up 3.9% to Rs 187, Maruti has gained 2.7% to Rs 795, HDFC has advanced 2.4% to Rs 2,722. Ranbaxy is strong at Rs 497, up 2.4%, while TCS is up 2.24% to Rs 926.
Tata Steel, Reliance Infra, Infosys, Bharti, Jaiprakash Associates, Tata Motors, Reliance and Grasim are all up 1% each.
ONGC is down 5% to Rs 948, NTPC has declined 2% to Rs 188.50 and HDFC Bank has lost 1.5% to Rs 1,460.
