Sensex up 108pts; Bharti spurts over 2%

The Sensex is now up 108 points at 12,046.

BHEL and Larsen & Toubro have rallied over 2% each to Rs 2,420 and Rs 2,722, respectively.

Bharti Tele has gained 2.5% at Rs 422. Tata Steel has over spurted 2% to Rs 668. Grasim has added 1.6% to Rs 2,415.

HDFC Bank has advanced 1.7% to Rs 851, and HDFC has moved up 1.6% to Rs 1,317.

TCS has spurted 2% to Rs 1,982. Reliance and ITC are up 1.6% each at Rs 993 and Rs 205, respectively.

ONGC has dropped 2.5% to Rs 1,352.

Infosys has declined 1.5% to Rs 3,179. NTPC and Maruti have slipped over 1% each to Rs 130 and Rs 913, respectively.

The market breadth is positive. Out of 2,361 stocks traded so far, 1,664 have moved up, 648 have declined and 49 are unchanged.
