Sensex up 108pts; BSE Teck index gain 2.2%

The Sensex touched a high of 10,623, and is now up 108 points at 10,617.

The BSE Teck index has gained 2.2% at 2531.

TCS, HDFC, Bharti Airtel and Wipro have advanced 3% each to Rs 1,806, Rs 1,200, Rs 382 and Rs 483, respectively.

Satyam, ONGC and Infosys have gained around 2.5% each at Rs 710, Rs 1,119 and Rs 3,176, respectively.

ICICI Bank has slipped 1.5% to Rs 492.

Out of 2,159 stocks traded so far, 1,251 have declined, 838 have advanced and 70 are unchanged.
