Sensex up 108pts; L&T, Tata Steel up 3%

The Sensex is now up 108 at 15,658.

Bharti Airtel has zoomed 4.5% to Rs 936. Larsen & Toubro and Tata Steel have soared 2.8% each to Rs 2,444 and Rs 701, respectively.

Ranbaxy has surged over 2% to Rs 359. ICICI Bank, HDFC, SBI and Reliance Communications are the other prominent gainers.

Hindustan Unilever has shed 2.3% to Rs 193. Satyam has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 477.

Ambuja Cements, ONGC, Cipla and HDFC Bank are down 1% each at Rs 137, Rs 887, Rs 203 and Rs 1,201, respectively.
