Sensex up 108pts; Wipro slips 2%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 56 points at 15,357.

The index is now up 108 points at 15,409.

Hindalco has soared over 2% to Rs 188. Larsen & Toubro and Bajaj Auto have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 2,360 and Rs 2,312, respectively.

BHEL, ACC, Reliance Communications, Grasim and Ranbaxy are up around 1% each at Rs 1,650, Rs 1,146, Rs 574, Rs 2,925 and Rs 350, respectively.

Wipro has shed 1.7% to Rs 496. Hindustan Unilever has slipped 1.4% to Rs 196.
