The Sensex is now up 109 points at 9,757. The NSE Nifty is now up 29 points at 2,989.
Reliance Communication has surged 5% to Rs 239. Sterlite has gained 4.2 to Rs 271.
Satyam and Hindalco have moved up around 4% each to Rs 177 and Rs 54, respectively.
Tata Steel is up 3.3% at Rs 224. ICICI Bank and Tata Motors have advanced 2.8% each to Rs 461 and Rs 163, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates has inched 2.6% to Rs 85. DLF and Reliance Infrastructure are up aournd 2% each at Rs 288 and Rs 591, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro has gained 1.7% to Rs 787, and Maruri is up 1.5% to Rs 528.
Ranbaxy has lost 1.2% to Rs 249.
