Sensex up 109pts; Reliance Comm zooms 10%

The Sensex is now up 109 points at 10,458.

Reliance Communications has zoomed over 10% to Rs 216. Mahindra & Mahindra has soared nearly 9% to Rs 457.

Larsen & Toubro has surged 6.5% to Rs 765. HDFC has rallied over 6% to Rs 1,680.

Hindalco and Tata Steel have gained 5% each at Rs 59 and Rs 236, respectively. Reliance Infrastructure has moved up 4.5% to Rs 601.

DLF and Bharti Airtel have advanced around 3% each to Rs 210 and Rs 658, respectively.

Tata Motors and Sterlite have added 2.5% each to Rs 208 and Rs 382, respectively.

 

ICICI Bank and ONGC are up around 2% each at Rs 368 and Rs 887, respectively.

ACC has tumbled 2.7% to Rs 584. Grasim and Hindusan Unilever have  plunged around 2.5% each to Rs 1,562 and Rs 225, respectively.

Ranbaxy and ITC have dropped over 2% each to Rs 183 and Rs 181, respectively.

SBI and Wipro have shed nearly 2% each at Rs 1,124 and Rs 266, respectively. Infosys is down over 1% at Rs 1,402.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,506 stocks traded so far, 1,765 have advanced, 670 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
