Sensex up 109pts; Reliance surges 2%

The Sensex touched a high of 14,067, and is now up 109 points at 14,043.

Reliance has surged 1.8% to Rs 1,610. BHEL, Tata Steel and Larsen & Toubro have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 2,535, Rs 561 and Rs 1,722, respectively.

Maruti, Hindalco, ICICI Bank, SBI, Bharti Aritel and Ranbaxy are up over 1% each.
