Sensex up 10pts; cement stocks firm

The Sensex is now up 10 points at 14,816.

Ambuja Cements and ACC have soared over 3% each to Rs 128 and Rs 968, respectively. Grasim has gained nearly 1% at Rs 2,725.

Cipla has surged 2.7% to Rs 219. Tata Motors has rallied 1.5% to Rs 698. Tata Steel, Hindustan Unilever and Reliance have advanced over 1% each to Rs 608, Rs 197 and Rs 1,725, respectively.

ONGC has dropped 1.4% to Rs 875. SBI, Wipro, BHEL and Hindalco are down around 1% each at Rs 1,565, Rs 510, Rs 1,532 and Rs 156, respectively.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,499 stocks traded so far, 1,363 have declined, 1,080 have advanced and 56 are unchanged.
