Sensex up 10pts; Tata Steel, ONGC lead

The Sensex is now up 10 points 10,583.

Tata Steel has surged 3.7% to Rs 499. ONGC has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 1,198.

Wipro has advanced 1.7% to Rs 460. ACC and Larsen & Toubro are up 1% each at Rs 777 and Rs 2,291, respectively.

Ranbaxy has plunged 5% to Rs 412. HDFC Bank has slipped over 4% to Rs 737.

Tata Power has shed 3.7% to Rs 510. BHEL has dropped 2.7% to Rs 1,920.

HDFC, Bajaj Auto, ICICI Bank and Dr.Reddy's are down over 2% each at Rs 1,160, Rs 2,780, Rs 561 and Rs 1,389, respectively.

Out of 2,414 stocks traded so far, 1,675 have declined, 678 have advanced and 61 are unchanged.
