Sensex up 112pts; ACC, Cipla spurt 4.5%

The Sensex has surged 112 points to 9997.

Tata Motors has rallied 5.7% to Rs 767. ACC and Cipla have surged 4.5% each to Rs 766 and Rs 220, respectively.

Maruti has moved up 3.6% to Rs 754. Grasim, NTPC and Tata Steel are up almost 3% each to Rs 1,809, Rs 113 and Rs 475, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has shed 3% to Rs 2,052. SBI has slipped over 2% to Rs 752.

Out of 2,394 stocks traded so far, 1,542 have advanced, 778 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
