Sensex up 112pts; ICICI, HDFC down 2%

The Sensex is now up 112 points at 14,974.

Satyam has zoomed over 5% to Rs 488. TCS has soared 4.4% to Rs 1,158, and Infosys has surged 3% to Rs 1,973. Wipro has gained 2.8% at Rs 518.

ACC, Reliance Energy, Bharti Airtel and Ambuja Cements have rallied 2% each to Rs 1,042, Rs 603, Rs 870 and Rs 132, respectively.

Reliance Communications and NTPC are up around 1.5% each at Rs 554 and Rs 155, respectively.

ICICI Bank has slipped over 2% to Rs 983. HDFC and Cipla have shed 1.7% each to Rs 1,915 and Rs 213, respectively.

Out of 2,617 stocks traded so far, 1,598 have advanced, 943 have declined and 76 are unchanged.
