Sensex up 113pts; ONGC, RCL surge

The Sensex is now up 113 points at 11,733.

ONGC, Reliance Communications (RCL) and ITC have surged around 2.5 % each to Rs 1,229, Rs 308 and Rs 185, respectively.

Maruti and NTPC have advanced over 2% each to Rs 852 and Rs 127, respectively. BHEL and Infosys have added 1.7% each to Rs 2,286 and Rs 1,800, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Cipla have gained 1.5% each at Rs 596 and Rs 247, respectively.

HLL has slipped nearly 1% to Rs 238.

Out of 2,454 stocks traded so far, 1,481 have advanced, 890 have declined and 83 are unchanged.
