Sensex up 115pts; REL soars 3%

The Sensex is now up 115 points at 14,620.

Reliance Energy, HDFC and ACC have soared 3% each to Rs 598, Rs 2,016 and Rs 925, respectively.

HDFC Bank has surged 2.8% to Rs 1,123. SBI, Bajaj Auto and BHEL have rallied around 2.5% each to Rs 1,508, Rs 2,145 and Rs 1,524, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and Ranbaxy have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 2,190 and Rs 354, respectively. Cipla has gained 1.5% at Rs 206.

Hindalco has plunged over 4% to Rs 162. Hindustan Unilever and Bharti Airtel have slipped over 1% each to Rs 187 and Rs 833, respectively.

Out of 2,620 stocks traded so far, 1,483 have advanced, 1,046 have declined and 91 are unchanged.
