Sensex up 116pts; BHEL, L&T rally

The Sensex zoomed to a high of 12,086, and is now up 116 points at 12,055.

BHEL has surged over 3% to Rs 2,441. Larsen & Toubro has advanced 2.5% to Rs 2,730.

Wipro and HDFC Bank have gained nearly 2% each at Rs 559 and Rs 851, respectively.

Ranbaxy, TCS, Hindalco, Tata Power, Bajaj Auto and HLL have also gained smartly.

ONGC has slipped 1.2% to Rs 1,370. Infosys has dropped 0.7% to Rs 3,204.
