Sensex up 117pts; Hindalco weak

The Sensex is now up 117 points at 15,564.

Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Energy, HDFC and Grasim have surged 2.3% each to Rs 218, Rs 842, Rs 2,100 and Rs 3,125, respectively.

Ranbaxy and ACC have rallied over 2% each to Rs 409 and Rs 1,105, respectively.

Tata Motors has advanced 1.7% to Rs 711, and Bajaj Auto has added 1.5% to Rs 2,343.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Ambuja Cements and SBI are up 1% each at Rs 718, Rs 139 and Rs 1,609, respectively.

Hindalco has shed 1.4% to Rs 155.

Out of 2,570 stocks traded so far, 1,580 have advanced, 939 have eclined and 51 are unchanged.
