Sensex up 118pts; RCom soars 3%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 91 points at 20,918, and soon touched a high of 20,986. The index is now up 118 points at 20,945.

Reliance Communications has soared 2.7% to Rs 815.

Tata Motors, Reliance and SBI have rallied 1.5% each to Rs 774, Rs 3,175 and Rs 2,473, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has advanced 1.3% to Rs 785.

Bharti Airtel has shed 1.6% at Rs 950, and Ambuja Cements has slipped 1.3% to Rs 137.
