Sensex up 118pts; Rel Infra, HDFC gain 3.5%

The Sensex today opened up 90 points, at 11,092 and then moved up to a high of 11,164.

The index is now up 118 points at 11,120.

Reliance Infrastructure and HDFC have gained 3.5% each to Rs 684 and Rs 1,726, respectively. ICICI Bank, Reliance Communication and Sterlite have advanced 3% each to Rs 453, Rs 214 and Rs 394, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates and Tata Steel have rallied 2.5% each to Rs 133 and Rs 240, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, DLF, HDFC Bank, Tata Motors, TCS, ACC, Reliance, ONGC, Hindalco, Ranbaxy and SBI have added 1-2% each.
