Sensex up 118pts; tech stocks shine

The Sensex is now up 118 points at 14,980.

Satyam has soared over 4% to Rs 484. TCS has surged 3.7% to Rs 1,151, and Infosys has gained 2.8% at Rs 1,970. Wipro is up 2% at Rs 514.

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Energy have rallied 2% each to Rs 870 and Rs 602, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Larsen & Toubro and ACC are up over 1.5% each to Rs 554, Rs 2,369 and Rs 1,037, respectively.

ICICI Bank has slipped over 2% to Rs 984. Cipla has shed 1.5% to Rs 213, and HDFC has dropped 1.3% to Rs 1,925.

Out of 2,587 stocks traded so far, 1,614 have advanced, 893 have declined and 80 are unchanged.
