Sensex up 119pts

The Sensex is now up 119 points at 11,897.

Larsen & Toubro and Tata Motors have rallied nearly 2% each to Rs 2,474 and Rs 879, respectively. Maruti has advanced 1.7% to Rs 890.

Satyam and ICICI Bank have gained 1.5% each to Rs 811 and Rs 618, respectively.

Wipro, NTPC, Bajaj Auto and TCS have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 524, Rs 127, Rs 2,826 and Rs 1,011, respectively.

Infosys, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Energy, Reliance Communications and ONGC are up around 1% each.

Hero Honda has slipped 1% to Rs 720.

Out of 2,372 stocks traded so far, 1,546 have advanced, 754 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
