Sensex up 11pts; auto, pharma stocks perk up

The Sensex is now up 11 points at 11,488.

Pharma stocks are in demand. Cipla has spurted over 2% to Rs 250. Dr.Reddy's has gained 1.8% at Rs 1,515, and Ranbaxy is up 1.4% at Rs 410.

Auto stocks are also witnessing some buying. Tata Motors has rallied 1.6% to Rs 851. Maruti has moved up 1.3% to Rs 830, and Bajaj Auto has added 1% to Rs 2,746.

BHEL, ACC and HLL are up over 1% each at Rs 2,297, Rs 901 and Rs 238, respectively.

Hindalco has dropped 2.5% to Rs 161. HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications have slipped over 1% each to Rs 839 and Rs 291, respectively.
