Sensex up 12 pts, HLL drops 4%

The Sensex is moving in a narrow range, and is now up 12 points at 6,166.

ACC is up Rs 3 at Rs 363.  Gujarat Ambuja is also up Rs 3 at Rs 424, and Grasim is still down 2% (Rs 23) at Rs 1,139.

Bajaj has moved up over a per cent (Rs 15) to Rs 1,103. Hero Honda and Tata Motors are also up, but Maruti has declined over 2% (Rs 10) to Rs 396.

Hindalco is steady at Rs 1,212 - up 2% (Rs 26).

HLL has crashed 4% (Rs 6) to Rs 132.  ITC is down a per cent (Rs 11) at Rs 1,426. Reliance is down a notch at Rs 527. SBI has lost over a per cent (Rs 6) to Rs 578. ONGC is still up 2% (Rs 15) at Rs 827.

Ranbaxy has slipped 2% (Rs 17) to Rs 896. Dr. Reddy's is also trading on a weak note.

Infosys is still up 1.5% (Rs 28) at Rs 1,915. Satyam and Wipro are also in positive zones.

Oil PSUs are trading with gains. BPCL has advanced 3% (Rs 12) to Rs 358. HPCL is up 3% (Rs 8) at Rs 311. IOC is up 2% at Rs 449. Kochi Refineries is also up 2% at Rs 156.

The broad market continues to be bearish - out of 2,005 scrips traded till now, 1,172 have declined, 765 have moved up and 68 are unchanged.
