Sensex up 124pts; Hero Honda soars 4%

The Sensex is now up 124 points at 14,535.

Hero Honda has rallied 3.7% to Rs 723. HDFC Bank and Bajaj Auto have rallied 2.3% each to Rs 1,131 and Rs 2,250, respectively.

SBI and Reliance Communications have gained 2% each at Rs 1,351 and Rs 511, respectively.

Infosys and Satyam have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 1,932 and Rs 472, respectively.

HDFC, Tata Motors and Maruti have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 1,852, Rs 752 and Rs 813, respectively.

Out of 2,354 stocks traded so far, 1,419 have advanced, 847 have declined and 88 are unchanged.
