Sensex up 125pts; Wipro surges 2.5%

The Sensex is now up 125 points at 12,849.

Wipro has surged 2.4% to Rs 563. BHEL and Tata Steel have moved up nearly 2% each to Rs 2,459 and Rs 511, respectively.

Ranbaxy has gained 1.5% at Rs 417. Reliance, Bajaj Auto and Hindalco have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 1,211, Rs 2,825 and Rs 189, respectively.

NTPC, Cipla, HDFC Bank, HDFC, ITC, Gujarat Ambuja, Grasim and HLL are up around 1% each.
