Sensex up 128pts; Tata Motors zooms 4%

The Sensex is now up 128 points at 13,824.

Tata Motors has zoomed over 4% to Rs 843. SBI and Bajaj Auto have rallied 3% each to Rs 1,356 and Rs 2,723, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Dr.Reddy's have surged 2.7% each to Rs 441 and Rs 770, respectively.

Maruti has advanced 2.3% to Rs 946, and Reliance Energy has added 2% to Rs 538.

Ranbaxy and Larsen & Toubro have moved up 1.5% each to Rs 378 and Rs 1,388, respectively.

Reliance and NTPC are up 1.3% each at Rs 1,262 and Rs 149, respectively.

HLL, ITC and ICICI Bank are up 1% each.

ONGC and HDFC have slipped over 1% each to Rs 851 and Rs 1,630, respectively.

Out of 2,572 stocks traded so far, 1,635 have advanced, 844 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
