Sensex up 12pts; Bajaj Auto slips 4%

The Sensex is now up 12 points to 10,494.

Out of 2,106 stocks traded so far, 1,215 have declined, 852 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.

Grasim has surged 5.6% to Rs 1,856. Bharti Tele has rallied 3.7% to Rs 374, and NTPC has soared over 3% to Rs 115.

Bajaj Auto has dropped 4% to Rs 2,759. Hero Honda has slipped 3.5% to Rs 786.

Cipla and HDFC Bank have shed 3% each to Rs 219 and Rs 764, respectively.
