Sensex up 12pts; Bharti adds 2%

The Sensex is exhibiting some volatility in early trades. The index touched a high of 10,590, and then slipped to a low of 10,462. The index has rebounded into positive zone and is now up 12 points at 10,522.

Bharti Airtel has surged 1.7% to Rs 377. Infosys, Hero Honda and ONGC are the other notable gainers.

ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have slipped around 2% each to Rs 489 and Rs 770, respectively. ITC and HLL have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 172 and Rs 235, respectively.

Reliance Energy, Tata Steel and Maruti are down 1% each.
