Sensex up 130pts; market breadth positive

The Sensex touched a high of 12,087, and is now up 130 points at 12,069.

BHEL has surged over 3% to Rs 2,440. Larsen & Toubro has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 2,712.

Gujarat Ambuja has flared up 2.4% to Rs 121. ITC has rallied 2.3% to Rs 206.

Bajaj Auto and Ranbaxy have zoomed nearly 2% each to Rs 3,020 and Rs 485, respectively.

Tata Power, Satyam and Wipro are the other major gainers among the Sensex stocks.

ONGC has slumped 2.3% to Rs 1,355. Infosys has dropped 1% to Rs 3,193.

The market breadth is highly positive. Out of 1,875 stocks traded so far, 1,454 have moved up, 381 have slipped and 40 are unchanged.
