Sensex up 131pts; breadth fairly +ve

The Sensex is now up 131 points at 14,636.

HDFC and ACC have soared around 3% each to Rs 2,021 and Rs 925, respectively.

SBI has gained 2.3% at Rs 1,504. HDFC Bank, Ranbaxy and Bajaj Auto have surged around 2% each to Rs 1,115, Rs 355 and Rs 2,133, respectively.

Reliance Communications and ICICI Bank have moved up 1.5% each to Rs 518 and Rs 957, respectively. NTPC and Cipla are up 1.3% each at Rs 153 and Rs 206, respectively.

Hindalco has plunged 2.6% to Rs 165. Hero Honda has slipped over 1% to Rs 673.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,459 stocks traded so far, 1,471 have advanced, 917 have declined and 71 are unchanged.
