Sensex up 131pts; breadth very firm

The Sensex is now up 131 points at 20,338.

Bharti Airtel has zoomed over 5% to Rs 990. Mahindra & Mahindra has soared 3% to Rs 859.

Hindalco has surged 2.4% to Rs 218. DLF and ITC have rallied over 2% each to Rs 1,086 and Rs 210, respectively.

Reliance Communications has gained 1.8% each at Rs 746.

Ranbaxy has moved up 1.5% to Rs 422. TCS, Tata Motors and ONGC have added 1.3% each to Rs 1,095, Rs 741 and Rs 1,242, respectively.

Ambuja Cements and Wipro have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 147 and Rs 523, respectively.

Out of 2,887 stocks traded so far, 2,605 have advanced, 274 have declined and eight are unchanged.
