Sensex up 131pts; HLL surges 2%

The Sensex is now up 131 points at 11,909.

Maruti has rallied over 2% to Rs 894. HLL, Larsen & Toubro and Tata Motors have gained 2% each at Rs 244, Rs 2,475 and Rs 880, respectively.

Satyam, Reliance Energy and ICICI Bank have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 812, Rs 451 and Rs 618, respectively.

Infosys, Bajaj Auto and TCS have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 1,835, Rs 2,826 and Rs 1,012, respectively.

Hero Honda has slipped over 1% to Rs 718.

Out of 2,446 stocks traded so far, 1,592 have advanced, 776 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
