Sensex up 132pts; Bharti, HUL slip 2%

The Sensex is now up 132 points at 16,472.

The NSE Nifty is up 38 points at 4,902.

Satyam have soared 5% to Rs 427. Infosys has surged 4.7% to Rs 1,486. TCS and Wipro have rallied around 2.5% each to Rs 875 and Rs 428, respectively.

ITC has zoomed 4.8% to Rs 194. ONGC has gained 3.3% at Rs 991.

Maruti has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 932. NTPC and Tata Steel have advanced over 2% each to Rs 194 and Rs 794, respectively.

Reliance Energy has plunged 4.4% to Rs 1,439.

Bajaj Auto and Bharti Airtel have tumbled over 2% each to Rs 2,150 and Rs 752, respectively. Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has shed 2% at Rs 225.

SBI and Mahindra & Mahindra are down 1.5% each at Rs 1,845 and Rs 696, respectively.

Out of 2,673 stocks traded so far, 1,974 have declined, 650 have advanced and 49 are unchanged.
