Sensex up 134pts; auto stocks slip

The Sensex is now up 134 points 12,498.

Infosys has surged 4.5% to Rs 1,991. TCS has rallied over 3% to Rs 1,043. Satyam has gained 2.8% at Rs 419, and Wipro has added 2.3% to Rs 532.

HDFC has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 1,440. Reliance Communications has moved up 1.5% to Rs 349.

Grasim and HDFC Bank are up 1% each at Rs 2,601 and Rs 948, respectively.

Auto stocks are on slipper ground. Tata Motors, Hero Honda and Bajaj Auto are the notable losers.

Out of 2,078 stocks traded so far, 1,359 have advanced, 656 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
