Sensex up 134pts; Rel Comm soars 6%

The Sensex is now up 134 points at 18,850.

Reliance Communications has zoomed 5.5% to Rs 778. Hindalco and Ranbaxy have soared 3.7% each to Rs 205 and Rs 435, respectively.

Tata Steel, Reliance, NTPC and Reliance Energy have rallied nearly 3% each to Rs 895, Rs 2,767, Rs 227 and Rs 1,811, respectively.

Cipla has gained 2% at Rs 183. Larsen & Toubro, BHEL and ONGC have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 3,353, Rs 2,322 and Rs 1,148, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Dr.Reddy's and ACC are up over 1% each to Rs 790, Rs 614 and Rs 1,215, respectively.

ICICI Bank has dropped 3.5% to Rs 1,079. Bharti Airtel has plunged nearly 3% to Rs 1,073.

HDFC Bank has slipped 2% to Rs 1,430. TCS is down over 1% to Rs 1,082.
