Sensex up 136pts; BHEL soars 5%

The Sensex is now up 136 points at 12,760.

BHEL has soared nearly 5% to Rs 2,364. NTPC, HDFC and Dr.Reddy's have rallied around 3% each to Rs 159, Rs 1,466 and Rs 740,  respectively.

ICICI Bank has advanced 2.6% to Rs 825. Bharti Airtel and Cipla have surged around 2% each to Rs 751 and Rs 228, respectively.

Hindalco has moved up 1.7% to Rs 131. SBI and Reliance Energy are up 1.5% each at Rs 941 and Rs 489, respectively.

Hero Honda has shed 1.7% to Rs 648. Satyam and Grasim are down around 1% each at Rs 453 and Rs 2,085, respectively.

Out of 2,208 stocks traded so far, 1,477 have advanced, 661 have declined and 70 are unchanged.
