Sensex up 137pts; breadth extremely +ve

The Sensex is now up 137 points at 15,047.

BHEL and Hindustan Unilever have soared 3% each to Rs 1,624 and Rs 208, respectively. Hindalco has surged 2% to Rs 158.

Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel and Cipla have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 549, Rs 889 and Rs 215, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Reliance Energy have rallied 1.5% each to Rs 968 and Rs 635, respectively.

Tata Steel and HDFC Bank have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 664 and Rs 1,165, respectively.

Select auto and technology stocks have slipped into the negative zone.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,024 stocks traded so far, 1,619 have advanced, 362 have declined and 43 are unchanged.
