Sensex up 137pts; FACT zooms 12%

The Sensex zoomed to a high of 11,825, and is now up 137 points at 11,784.

Cipla has soared over 5% to Rs 261. HDFC has advanced 2.7% to Rs 1,290.

Hindalco has surged 2.6% to Rs 211, and Tata Steel has advanced over 2% to Rs 637.

Tata Motors, Grasim, Infosys, Maruti and ACC are all up over 2% each.

OTHER GAINERS & LOSERS

FACT has zoomed over 12% to Rs 32.10. Hindustan Zinc, Hinduja TMT, Sterlite Industries, Bombay Dyeing, Sterlite Optical, Suzlon, Tata Elxsi and IndusInd Bank are the other major gainers.

VisualSoft has plunged 3% to Rs 118. IPCL, GTL, Wockhardt, Dredging, Syngenta and Indo Rama Synthetics are in declining mode.
