Sensex up 137pts; TCS gains 4.5%

The NSE Nifty is up 30 points at 4,865.

TCS and Ranbaxy have surged 4.5% each to Rs 1,040 and Rs 527, respectively.

HDFC has gained 4.4% at Rs 2,540, and BHEL has moved up around 4% to Rs 1,663.

Larsen & Toubro has advanced 3.4% to Rs 2,988. Infosys is up 3.3% at Rs 1,952.

HDFC Bank has added 2.3% to Rs 1,355. Bharti Airtel and Hindalco have gained around 2% each to Rs 877 and Rs 193, respectively.

ONGC and Reliance Communications are up 1.2% each at Rs 864 and Rs 580, respectively.

Tata Steel and DLF have added nearly 1% to Rs 906 and Rs 505, respectively.

 

Jaiprakash Associates has plunged 3.7% to Rs 217. Ambuja Cements has tumbled 2.4% to Rs 95.

Reliance has slipped 1.9% to Rs 2,420. Reliance Infrastructure has shed 1% to Rs 1,234.

Satyam has dropped 1.6% to Rs 518, while ICICI Bank has shed 1.$% to Rs 786.

ICICI Bank is down nearly 1% to Rs 790.
