Sensex up 139pts; Bharti, Hind Unilever down 5%

The Sensex is now up 139 points at 19,977.

ONGC has zoomed 6.7% to Rs 1,332, and Larsen & Toubro has soared 5.7% to Rs 4,486.

Reliance Communications has rallied 3.5% to Rs 799. Ranbaxy, ICICI Bank and BHEL have surged over 3% each to Rs 441, Rs 1,296 and Rs 2,694, respectively.

HDFC Bank has advanced 2% to Rs 1,687. Infosys and SBI are up 1.3% each at Rs 1,866 and Rs 2,095, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever and Bharti Airtel have plunged over 5% each to Rs 197 and Rs 951, respectively.

ITC has tumbled nearly 4% to Rs 172. Maruti and Wipro have dropped over 2% each to Rs 1,048 and Rs 494, respectively.

Grasim and ACC have shed 1.7% each to Rs 3,640 and Rs 1,059, respectively.

NTPC, Tata Motors and Cipla are down 1.5% each at Rs 236, Rs 746 and Rs 176, respectively.

Out of 2,728 stocks traded so far, 1,619 have declined, 1,038 have advanced and 71 are unchanged.
