Sensex up 139pts; ITC soars 5%

The Sensex is now up 139 points at 16,479.

The NSE Nifty is up 40 points at 4,904.

Satyam have soared 5% to Rs 427. Infosys has surged 4.6% to Rs 1,486. TCS has rallied 3% to Rs 879, and Wipro has gained 2.5% at Rs 428.

ITC has zoomed 5% to Rs 194. ONGC has moved up 3.7% to Rs 994.

Maruti has advanced 2.5% to Rs 928. HDFC, Tata Steel and NTPC have added 2.3% each to Rs 2,699, Rs 796 and Rs 195, respectively.

Reliance Energy has plunged 4% to Rs 1,444, and Bharti Airtel has dropped 2.7% to Rs 748.

Bajaj Auto has slipped over 2% to Rs 2,153, and Mahindra & Mahindra is down 1.3% at Rs 696.

Out of 2,640 stocks traded so far, 2,008 have declined, 591 have advanced and 41 are unchanged.
