Sensex up 140pts; HDFC Bank zooms 5%

The Sensex is now up 140 points at 11,454.

HDFC Bank has zoomed over 5% to Rs 849. Hero Honda has rallied 3.5% to Rs 706.

Larsen & Toubro and BHEL have gained over 3% each to Rs 2,380 and Rs 2,247, respectively. Ranbaxy has added 2.7% to Rs 403.

ONGC, Hindalco, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors are up around 2% each at Rs 1,240, Rs 170, Rs 589 and Rs 816, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has dropped 1.5% to Rs 2,742 and Cipla has slipped over 1% to Rs 247.

Out of 2,561 stocks traded so far, 1,825 have advanced, 680 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
