Sensex up 140pts; Rel Energy drops 2%

The Sensex is now up 140 points at 18,188.

The Nifty is up 47 points at 5,324.

ACC has soared 5% to Rs 794. TCS and Ranbaxy have surged 3% each to Rs 878 and Rs 408, respectively.

Grasim has moved up 2.7% to Rs 2,863. Hindustan Unilever and Cipla have rallied 2% each to Rs 221 and Rs 188, respectively.

Wipro and ONGC have gained 1.8% each at Rs 422 and Rs 1,039, respectively.

ICICI Bank has advanced 1.5% to Rs 1,226. Larsen & Toubro and Reliance are up 1.3% each at Rs 3,555 and Rs 2,585, respectively.

Reliance Energy has dropped 2% to Rs 1,662. ITC has slipped over 1% to Rs 207.

Out of 2,740 stocks traded so far, 1,809 have advanced, 864 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
